VOMnet-UK is building a network of Virtual Assistants across the globe to support small businesses in the North West who want to expand into other countries such as Spain, Portugal and Australia. As a company, I advertise in Spain, have contacts in all three countries and can join up with another network in Australia.

To find the right kind of talented people to service this network I developed 'VA's That Lunch', and we met in a local restaurant for the first time last year. As we are busy people this obviously was not going to last, so this year I took 'VA's That Lunch' online using Skype for group conversations.

However, last week we joined a Women's Networking site called Be Fabulous, where we have our own forum in the Member's Area 'Fabulous VA's That Lunch' and can support almost 800 other women with their own small businesses. It has been quite a year, and although we are struggling in the recession it looks as if there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Why am I here? I found SECNET when I Googled looking for a Virtual Assistant in the Bristol area for one of my clients and hey presto, my networking empire has yet again brought me to a lively group of hard working people.
